How can a busy parent or single parent fit video marketing into their busy day
“I would say to stay away far, far away from perfection; that's my one recommendation to anybody.”
A lot of people are concerned about the camera they have or they have an old or outdated phone. It doesn't matter; just start with what you have. When you do a video online or talk to somebody, you want to talk as if you're talking to your close friend and just talk from the heart. Forget about your outward appearance and the state of your work tools; remember, it's all about progress. People are looking for someone they can relate to, so being honest and talking and telling your story about your brand is the best thing you could do. If you make progress, that's perfect. If you get a better microphone and are better prepared, all of that's great, but keep your heart and openness regarding who you're talking to and how you're talking to them.
Importance of building your own brand
“You can really do well if you develop a good ecosystem and a support system for people. They're looking for that community that they can join so they can socially interact as well as get support and encouragement.”
Building your brand is important because gives you and your family protection as well as opens doors for endless amounts of opportunity which equates to multiple income streams. If you invest time into developing your brand, people will be joining you and wanting to work with you. If, for some reason, something happens with your network marketing company, you won’t be as affected. Your brand and you is what people will follow and want to be a part of.
You can do well if you develop a good ecosystem and a support system because that's what people are looking for. They're looking for a community they can join to interact and get social support and encouragement. Remember, progress not perfection.
Seven secrets of video marketing that help people drive sales
The first and most important step is is to lay the groundwork for any type of video. If you're doing a brand video or promotional video, and you want to get some interaction with it, there is one key factor, you want to get people’s attention very quickly, and then you want to get to your thesis very fast. Your thesis is very critical. People want to know what you're talking about and they want to know it quickly.
The seven secrets to super successful video marketing are as follows:
- Grab their attention. Always have a prop or scene at the beginning. Choose your tone: Humorous, scary, serious, shocking.
- Get to the thesis and main point QUICKLY - what’s your offer?
- Hit the pain point - the problem you are solving.
- Provide a solid solution - your offer, your product, your service.
- Have a strong CTA (Call to Action) - download offer, buy now, coupon code, BOGO, etc.
- Give your audience a bonus, some type of free offer - something they are dying to have Bonus.
- Then drive home point 5 and establish urgency - Limited time offer, BOGO (Buy one get one), coupon or discount
In video marketing, the most important thing is the emotional scale. You have to stand out. If you don’t you’re not going to get a lot of engagement if there are tons of videos in a certain category, you have to move the needle up a little bit on the emotional scale to try to get their attention quickly.
“In regards to emotional scale, you get to choose what emotion you want to inflict on your listener, whether it's happy, laughing, sad, scared. It doesn't matter, you have to evoke some emotions.”
